22nd anniversary. Hon, as life moves on, and us with it, I never lose sight of my promise to you. You were the other half of me for sure and I was lucky to have felt that innocence that comes from trust and not knowing what the future could hold. At some point, our world began and we added five beautiful souls to it never realizing that our worlds could ever be forced to separate as they did. I will never understand and as I post to you each year, I would give anything, anything..to see you for just one minute and watch your face as you hug each of the children. I thank you for the courage and grace you taught me, Im still learning it. I know you loved me. I just knew it. And so I am blessed. Because I know you will hand me over when the time is right. Thats pretty loved!! In the meantime Im spending a lot of time staring at the screen which means Ive run out of words that can even begin to express the ache but you always understood my silence as easily as you could make sense of my words. As another song says, I thank you for every moment of your life. Rest, be in peace, I dont ever want to see you hurt again. I love you
