23730467 8:31 AM on 8/28/2014 They call for an inquiry because they wont like what they see the 40 reports before them. Nothing has changed, will change or ever change if the only solution is calling for the Canadian Government to say sorry, heres some money, now go away until it runs out. The government CANT solve problems where an individuals (or groups) free will is involved! Any and all social programs that arent mandatory are destined to fail because people simply can refuse to go and there is nothing that can be done about that because the government cant force them into them and cant cut off welfare if they dont go. Plus even if they could force them, if people dont want change you can force them all you want they will simply choose to ignore it even if it could ultimately help them in the long run. Its like solely blaming the fertilizer because your plants dont grow. Just because you keep pouring more on doesnt mean that its going to help them grow does it? The only way change is going to come is when real leaders in the aboriginal community emerge who care more about helping the people than anything else. Problem is helping the people starts at home and the help needs to be there everyday and no government can be there everyday but the community members are there everyday and they need to be the ones to put an end to whats going on in their communities. They have to tell the troublemakers that enough is enough and stand against them, as a community, to build a better life for themselves. Throughout the world its the people in the community that decide what kind of community they live in and work to make it better; or dont work and let it get worse. No-one said it would be easy.
