24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST Issued at: 5:00 PM 06 December 2014 Synopsis: at 4:00 pm today, the eye of typhoon “ruby” was located based on all available data including Virac and Cebu radars at 100 km East of Dolores, Eastern Samar or at 195 km East of Catarman, Northern Samar (12.1°N, 126.4°E), with maximum sustained winds of 175 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 210 kph. It is forecast to move West at 16 kph. Forecast: Eastern and Central Visayas, Bicol Region and the province of Romblon will experience stormy weather while Western Visayas and the provinces of Quezon, Batangas, Marinduque, Mindoro, Dinagat and Surigao Del Norte including the island of Siargao will have rains with gusty winds with rough to very rough seas. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast to North will prevail over the rest of Luzon and coming from the Northeast to Northwest over the rest of Visayas and Mindanao with moderate to rough seas.
