273. Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, Treat women well. The woman was created from a rib. The most bent part of the rib is the top part. If you try to straighten it, you will break it. If you leave it, it remains bent. So treat women well. [Agreed upon] It is a rigorously authenticated Hadith--related by both Bukhari and Muslim. As for its meaning, it was explained in one of the Clear Paths to the Gardens of the Righteous lessons The Hadith is referring to the need of women for men and the need for women for men. The rib is from the person themselves; it gives the body, heart, and soul protection; it tells us that neither men nor women complete without the other and need each other; it points to the natural attraction between each. It reminds the husband about the duty to take care of his wife and to be excellent in dealing :
