2nd night camping out in Glen Afton with the kids and Petes sister Karen. We have a tent and are also sleeping in the station wagon...which the kids and I looove...some people think we are crazy haha. The kids really love it with their Aunty karen as she tells better stories than me....well I dont tell any actually haha...im not very good at playing games with the kids at all either...will work on this me thinks. Mostly I have been pottering away in the garage sorting and cleaning which I loooove doing...feeling thankful for the automatic spray that I left going while we were away as there are very few spiders now woohoo...im not very natural when it comes to spiders...I do feel sorry for them and sad that I have killed them...but im very happy to not be stumbling upon them! I apologise if I have to squish one. No power...just candles and torches...and I still potter away at night...would NEVER do this in oz...could be all sorts lurking!!! So glad there are no snakes here either. All the dishes stored in the garage have nearly been cleaned...paper and cardboard that the rats or mice shredded has been burnt on our fire...rubbish from things that had got damaged has been bagged. Picked up a few goodies from the carboot sale today too...mostly from petes aunty aroha haha...and met some of the locals at the blue rooms which is kind of like the local sports club/pub. Loving how quiet it is here...once the kids are asleep haha and not arguing or whining about something...actually the boys talked themselves to sleep HAPPILY which is a miracle...lately all I hear is dont touch me..get off me...ow dont hit me..mum this...mum that.. Anahera Manuel draped the solar fairy lights up all around the car windows today which i REALLY love and am currently enjoying as I can see the stars too! Really shouldnt have had a coffee so late this evening...
