3-20-2014=A PRESCRIPTION FOR PANIC= Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad. Proverbs 12:25 We live in a world sometimes seems to shift beneath our feet. We live in an uncertain world, a world where tragedies can befall even the most godly among us. And we are members of an anxious society, a society in which the changes we face threaten to outpace our abilities to make adjustments. No wonder we sometimes find ourselves beset by feeling of anxiety and panic. At times, our anxieties may stem from physical causes---chemical imbalances in the brain that result in severe emotional distress or relentless panic attacks. In such cases, modern medicine offers hope to those who suffer. But sometimes, our anxieties result from spiritual deficits, not physical ones. And when weve spiritually depleted, the best prescription is found not in the medicine cabinet but deep inside the human heart. What we need is a higher daily dose of GODS love, GODS peace, and GODS presence. LORD, when I am tempted to lose faith in the future, touch my heart with Your enduring love. Keep me mindful that nothing will happen this day that You and I cannot handle together. Amen ...Amen
