(3/29/2014) In line with the planned full enforcement of the Anti Littering Ordinance, I was given the opportunity to lecture our city police officers about the ordinance. The ordinance will be fully enforced within the city proper on May, this year but the campaign to educate residents will take off 2-weeks before the scheduled day-May 1. Towards the end of the seminar, I appealed to our police to seriously implement this ordinance and apprehend all people who will be caught violating the ordinance and penalize them. The full implementation of this ordinance may lead to a change in culture toward cleanliness and will instill discipline among residents as well as non-residents who come to our city. The city police through the leadership of Col. Casimiro has given their commitment to truly enforce the ordinance and help make Zamboanga a cleaner city for us all. Making Zamboanga a cleaner city is complimenting our new administrations goal to build back a better Zamboanga. City hall has been backing this move ever since this representation sought for the full implementation of the mentioned ordinance. Lets begin the revolution to bring back the lost glory of our city which once used to be known as the beautiful and cleanest city in the Philippines! Lets go Zambo!!! Oh YES, we can do it!!!
