30/12/2014 MUVI TV’S OPINION POLL ON HH, QUITE DECEPTIVE-ZRP The revelations that some senior staff of Muvi tv came up with such a rotten, pathetic and rubbish opinion poll which put UPND President Hakainde Hichilema at 80% and the ruling Patriotic Front President Edgar lungu at 15% has really disturbed us as ZRP because we expect all media houses to be neutral and professional in their work of informing the nation. We are not disturbed because it put UPND Leader Hichilema ahead of PF leader Edgar Lungu, but because it is mischievous and aimed at deceiving the nation so that our people are forced into voting for the person they don’t want. Move tv is expected to be neutral and professional as has been known for or they will lose their credibility as a respected tv station. As ZRP we know, just like any normal and honest Zambian know that at the moment in about 90% places of Zambia if the opinion poll or just normal elections were to be conducted today fairly, the one who will emerge as a winner is Edgar lungu and his PF. So for that Muvi tv staff to deliberately deceive the nation with his flawed opinion poll just because he is promised a job by UPND, is something we as Zambia Republican Party would urge the nation to condemn in strongest term. We would also ask Muvi tv management to apologize to the nation in no time because this is a very serious plunder on their part as a station. As for UPND we would like to advise them to stop this cheap campaign strategies they have involved themselves in, that of sponsoring songs of insults against other tribes; publishing pictures of masses of people of football spectators and those of public rallies from densely populated countries like Nigeria to be the people following UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema and to make false promises such as free education from grade one to university, rushion to our men and women in uniforms and huge salaries to the government employees among other things to our people. As Zambia Republican Party, we strongly believe that these are some of the things that are even making HH lose his popularity because things have changed and so are our people. People want someone who can promise them things that are attainable. He should take a leaf from even Edgar Lungu, has he seen him making fake promises in order for him to win presidential elections? Hakainde Hichilema can not have 80% and Edgar Lungu 15% even in southern province, the strong hold of UPND. Such an opinion poll has made Muvi tv cheap to say the least.
