365 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR AMERICA Day 255, July 22, 2013 If PRAYER is changing me, PRAYER can change AMERICA!! WHAT IS YOUR CAPACITY FOR FAITH When GOD created man in HIS own Image and after HIS likeness, HE, also created in Adam a great capacity for faith! GOD designed Adam to believe, to trust, to have complete confidence in his Creator, his Heavenly FATHER. “For without faith it is impossible to believe GOD: for he that comes to GOD must believe that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIM” (Hebrew 11:6). Those who “diligently seek HIM” must seek HIM in prayer. “Have faith in GOD! ... Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be removed, and be cast into sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things, which he says, shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says. Therefore, I say unto you, what things so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them” (Mark 11:22-24 edited: trc…). E.M. Bounds wrote: “Natural ability and educational advantages do not figure as factors in this matter of prayer; but a capacity for faith, the power of a thorough consecration, the ability of self-littleness, an absolute losing of one’s self in God’s glory and an ever present and insatiable yearning and seeking after all the fullness of God.” Our capacity for faith is found in our capacity for “the love of GOD with is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit” (Romans 5:5b). If we know GOD, we will love HIM, and if we love Him, we will trust HIM, and if we trust HIM, we can have a great capacity for faith! “And he said, You shall love the LORD, your GOD with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27). The more we love HIM, the more we enlarge our capacity for faith. “For therein is the righteousness of GOD revealed from faith to faith (ever increasing faith): as it is written, the just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17).
