3am Monday update: Hello Night Owls and those who may have been shaken out of bed by thunder. We are wide awake, watching and planning here at the NWS in Nashville. There are a few thunderstorms rumbling across the Mid State at this time, but the good news is that none are severe. Unfortunately, conditions still look threatening for the daytime hours across Mid TN. Many have asked how bad will it be? When it comes to predicting specifics of severe weather, its very hard to say. But what we can tell you is the ingredients will be available for tornadoes, including powerful, destructive tornadoes. Will any of these actually develop here? We cannot say for sure- all we can do is let you know the risk and suggest that you prepare as much as possible. Well keep you updated.
