Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase As someone who has trained and been involved in the gym environment for over 25 years, I am aware of the author through the sport of bodybuilding and so heard of this book. Although the subject matter wouldn’t normally be something I would choose to read, I purchased this book to support one of our athletes, but ended up enjoying the book. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the work and thoroughly enjoyed this thought provoking story and would recommend it to everyone! This book contains love, hate, jealousy, lust, greed, disloyalty, vanity and many more emotions in between The author describes beautifully and at times humorously the ups and downs, sometimes madness and sacrifices made by the mind, body and at times the soul to stand in the arena that is competitive bodybuilding. This story will ask of the reader to question what we as human beings are prepared to do and are capable of to reach our goals and perceived ideas of perfection. Although only a story and fantasy, remember history shows us that people will indeed take such paths regardless of the consequences to either themselves or others around them. Within the structure of this dark sinister tale I think we all may recognise certain parts we can identify with, good and bad and ultimately learn from! Well done L.J.K.
