555 Osborne had its first night open on September 23, 2011. Since then I have been unbelievably privileged to have worked with some of the best staff and most amazing musicians Ive ever met. I figured I would wait until the 23rd, our 3 year anniversary to make the announcement but as it falls on a Tuesday and were closed on Tuesdays may as well let everyone know now. I have been given an opportunity to take over as the Entertainment and Promotions Manager at the new St James Tap and Table and am going to take it! It is a much bigger venue and the other management and owners are people I am really looking forward to working with. I cant say enough about how amazing the shows and people have been in that little signless bar on South Osborne that has been a part of my life for three years. That being said, I am extremely excited to get to book acts on a bigger scale, and to have the opportunity for that to be my sole focus. We are going to have some amazing Bands, DJs and Solo artists at the new venue, as well as an incredible menu, and a much bigger space with a much nicer stage! Now on to the fun stuff for all of you feeling nostalgic for one last binge at 555. We have a HUGE line up for everyone this week. Tonight, our good friends from THE TIMS will be letting you know that although you may hate Mondays, that doesnt mean that you cant get pissed with everyone else who does as well.. Wednesday, our good friends from BB GUN and None the Wiser will be playing! Thursday, The Sawat Team will host its last ever Jam Night at 555 with Jamie Buckboro and our good bud Curtis Newton fronting the band. Friday, our good friends from Those Liabilities and The Proud Sons are coming in to kick off the closing weekend. Saturday, we have two other very close sets of friends to the bar coming in; Romi Mayes and her band will be serenading everyone and The Family Planners will be funking up your night. Then finally next Monday will be our last night, and who better to close the place out then the first band who played in the bar and one of the first groups of people I had ever put on a weekly down here. The Attica Riots and The TIMS are going to send us off in style! Love all yall, and I know youre all going to love the new place! Lets get weird for one last week at 555! -Ev
