60 Seconds Time Out: Athletes/Coaches Behaving Badly – Texas A & - TopicsExpress

60 Seconds Time Out: Athletes/Coaches Behaving Badly – Texas A & M’s Manziel gets into the game after halftime, motions to the opponents which look like he was asking if they wanted his autograph, and then motions that he needs cash, but that was enough for him. He got a penalty for taunting. Again I tell you, this kid is out of control. After seeing Manziel do a signing motion to his opponents, the NCAA should feel really STUPID right now. They are both contenders this week; football season starts this Thursday, and so has all the foolishness. The defending Superbowl Champions Ravens are playing in Denver, because the Orioles refused to change the date and time of their game. So the Orioles are contenders this week. However that is not the worse part of the story. The Ravens were forced to go to Denver to play the season opener, so the NFL thought it was a good idea to hang a HUGE banner of the Ravens’ Flacco next to Broncos’ Manning. The NFL are contenders, because it is never a good idea to hang anything of the opposing team in the home team’s stadium. Whoever thought that was a good idea should also have a PINK SLIP HANGING on their office door; Patriots released Tebow, but now they are saying they may bring him back. Why let him go, if they may bring him back? New England is a contender; the Packers signed Vince Young then cut him, then later apologized because they didn’t give him time to develop and learn the plays before they let him go. Green Bay is a contender; former NBA standout/US Ambassador Dennis Rodman is back in North Korea. He says that he wants to start a basketball league there, but I heard he may try to negotiate the release of a US prisoner. I see you Rodman; two men in Chicago decided they wanted to steal the ivy from Wrigley Field wall. That is stupid on so many levels. They were arrested and charged with trespassing. What were they going to do with the ivy? These drunken men are contenders; Penn State is in the news again. No not for another uncovered scandal, but because they are now selling shirts with the score of their season opener. They are too excited that they won. Someone once told me that you can tell a person that is not used to having things, they are over the top telling everyone what they have or what they have achieved; congratulations to the year old swimmer, Diana Nyad who finally swam from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage. She attempted this before, but failed each time. At 64, she finally achieved her goal. This should encourage some of you today. You are never too old to do anything! Stop putting it off.
