#6232 It was a lazy afternoon. I could see all sorts of vehicles passing through the busy street. I was sitting near the window on my bed wondering how busy people were. I was beginning to lose in my thoughts, then suddenly my roommate shouted, “Oy Neel lets go somewhere its getting really bore.” “Where are you planning to go”, I asked papori my roommate. “First dress up then we will decide where to go,” she replied. Soon we came out of our hostel and got into a city bus with no idea where to go. The bus was going to paltanbazaar and luckily we got a seat; I sat near the window. As the bus was moving our gossips started to increase, we laughed at our own jokes. “Thank God we came out its better than being in that room”, papori exclaimed. I smiled at her and looked through the window and then my eyes met an innocent eyes staring at me, I could not resist but stare him back. It last for few seconds and then I regained my senses. I noticed he too realized his action and a smile or maybe shyness filled his face. I don’t know what happened but my heart started to beat faster, my face turned red. Some unknown feeling came inside me; before I could react the bus moved from that place. I turned my head and looked back he was walking on the footpath. “Let’s get down here,” I said to papori. She smiled at me teased me. “ I was watching u, maybe he is your love at first sight, come lets follow him,”papori said. I was overjoyed to hear this and we walked through the footpath in the hope of seeing him again. We walked for a few distance but he was nowhere to be seen. I didn’t know what exact feeling it was, but I was filled with hope of seeing him again. Finally it was evening and we returned to our hostel. His face flashing in my mind, I could see his innocent eyes, the way he was looking at me it was just something wonderful mesmerizing. I know he did not mean to stare me that way, neither did I but sometimes our eyes meet people we cannot forget or we choose not to forget. I have many times gazed through the window with the hope of meeting those eyes again but I never saw him again. It’s been years, life has changed still some moments remain special in our life. f/23
