(6a).saul was born in tarsus andtrained in jewish law undergamaliel,a respected jewish lawyer and teacher.saul wasa pharisee and a defender ofjudaism,he appeared in theforefront of thosepersecutin g the church injerusalem. After the death of stephen,and the greatpersecutio n of the church injerusalem,whi ch forced thedisciples to scatter todifferent places.saul was stilldetermined to met out further punishment to the high priestand jesus . He went to thehigh priest and demanded forthe synagogues in damascusso as to eneable him toarrest the disciples. After collecting the letter he movedto damascus while he wasapproaching the city alightening from heavenflashed him he felled to theground and heard a voice saying”saul saul why areyou persecuting me”.saulrespond ed and asked whoare you lord? The voice saidi am jesus who you arepersecuting, the n jesus directed paul to wake up andenterthe city where he willbe told what to do. those whowent with saul was amazedfor they heard the voice butsaw no one.saul stayed in the city for three dayswithout sight,food nor drinkand the lord appear toananias and directed him tothe street called straightananias went and placed his handan saul he regained hissight and joined the disciples.(6b). the three significant are:- God is worshiped in thetruth and in spirit not inceremonial and customary observance like circumssion.-Go d shows no partialty anddoes not discuminate amonghis children. -conversion ofsaul hed to the growth of thechurch
