6th March, 1935 H.P.Lovcrafte, the master of a genre of horrors, has written to the friend, science fiction writer Emil Petaja (B. 1915): « In 90s years of the last century secular decadents liked to pretend, that belong to all devil cults, participate in black mass and own every possible occult knowledge of ominous property. The unique representative of this group operating till now, — Alister Crowley advertised over everyone measure , with which the main villain in Herbert R.Wekfelds story “ It, by the way, is written off comes and goes ” ». Contrary to an ordinary legend, Crowley and Lovecraft were not familiar with each other and did not render against each other any appreciable influence.(C)
