7-2-2013 meeting update: Tonight we made significant progress yet again in the cool layout room. The benchwork crew finished cutting out the roadbed to finish the Huntingdon peninsula. Next week they will level the roadbed so the track crew can start laying cork roadbed The carpentry crew took advantage of the evening to construct a supply of legs for future benchwork crew use. The track crew finished soldering the drop wires to the rails. The salvage crew continued to clean track during the meeting. A significant pile of cleaned track is ready for the track crew to install. Our engineering crew held a detailed discussion at the end of the night regarding the plan for the Spruce Creek tunnels and bridges. We will need to continue to make significant progress during each meeting in order to reach our goal of completing track through the Spruce Creek area before the October open house...but we are confident we will succeed!
