9TH OCTOBER 2014 FAITH GIVES YOU THE VICTORIES YOU NEED IN LIFE Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]. (Amplified Bible) The above verse makes it clear that without faith it is impossible to please God. Romans 10:17 makes it clear that “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” The Bible declares in Romans 10:9 that,”That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth………” The moment someone hears and confesses this word by faith he/she is saved (born again). “For by grace are ye saved through faith…….” (Ephesians 2:8). Habbakuk 2:4 makes it clear that “For the just shall live by his faith.” Jesus taught us to receive by faith in Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”(New King James Bible) Hebrews 11:3 says “… This recreation of the world was done by faith. This is the recreation of the world done by God in Genesis 1 and it was clearly done by faith as Hebrew 11:3 makes it clear that it was done “through faith”. In Genesis 1 God said “Let there be light and there was light”. The same way and with the same principle of faith we can recreate our world. Notice that we refer to this creation in Genesis 1 as a recreation of the world and not the first creation as many Christians believe. We will explain this in more detail in a future instalment of the Bolts of Wisdom. Faith makes us obtain a good report regardless of the circumstances that prevail, Hebrews 11:2 says For by faith, trust and holy fervor born of faith, the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report. Hebrews 11:33 says Who by [the help of] faith subdued kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promised blessings, closed the mouths of lions, (Amplified Bible) John 16:33 below Jesus is talking and makes it clear that we must be of good cheer for Jesus says He has overcome the world and we are not subject to its circumstances. Jesus has deprived the world of power to harm and defeat us . Faith gives us the victory. It does not matter whatever challenge you are facing in this world, hear God’s Word, meditate on God’s Word, grow your faith and your life will be upwards and forward only in Jesus name, amen. John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted! For I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.
