A 16-year-old girl found wandering the streets of Plymouth early this morning has led to multiple arrests in what police said appears to be a human trafficking incident. An investigation is ongoing, and police have released few details at this point. According to a news release from Deputy Police Chief Christopher Ringel: Police were called at 2:45 a.m. Monday to a report of a girl who appeared confused and was wandering the streets. Police later found the girl, who told officers she was being held against her will. Officers tracked down the house on North Milwaukee Street where she was being held and learned there was a Milwaukee man inside who was known to be armed and was wanted on a felony warrant. Police arrived at the home at 7 a.m. and saw several people try and flee the home before retreating back inside after realizing the home was surrounded by officers. The Sheboygan County SWAT team was also called to assist and a half hour later two people attempted to leave the home and were taken into custody. Shortly after 10 a.m., the Milwaukee man left the home and was taken into custody. No injuries were reported. Police Chief Jeff Tauscheck said two men have been arrested following the incident and will be referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office for formal charges. A third person taken into custody outside the Milwaukee Street home was interviewed and released.
