A Clouded Snake or Clouded Snail Eating Snake (Sibon nebulata) - TopicsExpress

A Clouded Snake or Clouded Snail Eating Snake (Sibon nebulata) rests tightly coiled around a banana stalk. As their name implies, these snakes mosaic patchwork of pinks, blacks and blue-grays are difficult to define and make for a frustrating photograph. Clouded snakes never bite humans, and are active on the rain forest floor on wet nights, when they prowl for slugs and snails, their preferred food. This gravid female was found by our guide, Esdras Lopez on a night hike. The Lodge at Pico Bonito, Honduras.
