You are my Friend, Father, Brother, Master, Savior, Confidant, Leader, Hope, Love and my God! You are the answer to all that I have been looking for. When I am hungry, You feed me. When I am lonely, You speak to me. When I am sick, You heal me. When I am afraid, You encourage me. When I am defeated, You raise me up. When I can walk this life no further, You carry me. Even though I am undeserving, You have given me a heart that praises You. Because of Your love, I believe in goodness and hope. When all seems dire, when my heart becomes feint from not feeling Your closeness, I have Your faith to fall upon. Your eternal Word is within arms reach. The piercing of Your truth makes tender a heart which was once hard and stony. Yes, I will be forever honored to glorify Your name. Look at what You have done! I eagerly await that promised day when I will stand among a chorus line, a multitude of radiant souls, whose single purpose is Your worship. My God, my God, when will that day come? When will I finally ascend to that place where You dwell? When we stand before the Lord, And angels take their cue We will sing Hallelujah! Giving praise to the One that it’s due. With an inhale of joyous breath How it sounds like the ocean roar Taking up His glorious tune Yes! Sing to Him, forevermore For the King is in His hall His colors unveiled and raised Around His throne kneel His children Listen all you angels the song that they sing Father, Who am I that I could love You? Can I ever be worthy of this wonderful gift? With each new day I am reminded of how much You are forever my loving Father. I pray that I may someday be all that you want me to be!
