A.J. Croce lost his dad to a plane crash a week before he turned 2 - TopicsExpress

A.J. Croce lost his dad to a plane crash a week before he turned 2 years old, was completely blind at 4 from a brain tumor, but gained vision in left eye by age of ten, learned to play piano by ear during this time, his home burned at age 15, yet he succeeded in spite of the odds and the adversity. I guess what I am attempting to say is I(we) cannot give up whenever I (we) are faced with similar adversity and/or tragedy. My mothers death took a drastic toll on my psyche greatly impacting each and every thought or decision since March 24, 2012. I was advised to express my feelings recently, so I chose writing and making it public. Every single day has been a challenge first just to wake up, then to get up and get out and face the world again. And I had the benefit and privilege of knowing my mom for 46 of her 68 years here. And have the benefit of my dad for 49-and-counting of his 75 trips around the sun. I read the Croce story and I think it is time for me to begin living again. The past cannot be changed, altered, or corrected for it is GONE just like the wind in that Margaret Mitchell novel.... We should not fear death, we should fear not having lived..... If any of you have never seen the movie Second Hand Lions well, you should rent it immediately or better yet go buy a copy and let your family watch it... The story is what I am rambling on about here... I have seen it 10 times or more... It has finally sunk in today.... Love you all & will Talk to you later ~Josh youtube/watch?v=5IY7Scj9ltU
