A LOT OF PEOPLE STILL DO NOT UNDERSTAND THAT AUSTRALIA HASNT MAKE ANY CONCRETE COMMITTMENT TO SIGN ANY TYPES OF WORKING VISA WITH FIJI...THIS WORKING VISAS HAS BEING THE TALK OF THE TOWN RIGHT NOW... AFTER THE MEETING BET. THE AUSTRALIAN SENATOR WHO VISITED FIJI LAST MONTH AND THE REGIME FOREIGN MINISTER MR.KUBUABOLA A PROPOSAL FOR A WORKING HOLIDAY WAS ON THE TABLE ...AND THAT HAS TO BE FURTHER CONSIDERED BY THE GOVT OF AUSTRALIA TO PUT A TIME FRAME ON IT... THE FACT THAT AUSTRALIA HASNT OFFICIALLY INDICATED THAT IT WILL SIGN ANY WORK AGREEMENT WITH THIS REGIME GOVERNMENT IT JUST AN INDICATION THAT AUSTRALIA STANDS ON FIJI REMAINS .. IT PREVIOUSLY STATED THAT ONLY AN ELECTION COULD MAKE IT HAPPEN FOR FIJI.. SINCE THERE IS A HIGH LEVEL OF INTERESTS AND INQURIES FROM PEOPLE WHO WERE TAKEN IN BY WHAT WAS REPORTED BY THE FIJI SUN THAT WORKING HOLIDAYS TO AUSTRALIA IS OPENED FOR FIJI CITIZEN.. UNFORTUNATELY THIS NOT THE CASE AT THE MOMENT.. SINCE THIS NEWS PAPER IS HIGHLY PERCIEVED AS THE MEDIA MOUTH PIECE FOR THE REGIME ONE CANNOT TAKE THE REPORTING SERIOUSLY AS BALANCE.. MOSTLY WHAT IS REPORTED ARE SCRUTINIZED AND ARTICLES COULD BE EXERGERATED TO FAVOUR ITS SPONSOR THUS IT IS NOT FAIR IF PEOPLE START TO BELIEVE AND LAY FALSE HOPE ON THOSE REPORTING... Please read this.... .there are two types of holiday visas...1. 417visa which is a Working Holiday visa.. 2.Work and Holiday visa sub class 462.. both of them do not include Fiji as an eligible country in its list....in other words Fiji has not yet being included for a work holiday in Australia....even though it was reported by the Fiji Sun..and no one can take them seriously as it is known to be the mouth piece media for the regime... Australia hasnt commited any work agreement with Fiji until we have an election or in such a time it can officially confirmed it has... .see the Aus..gov website down below..it will tell just those countries that has a work reprocal with Australia.. Fiji is not yet included in these two lists.. Any new Australian gov.policy has to be implemented. .and must appear in the Australian immigration gov.web site before anyone from Fiji could even think of applying for these visas.. Requirements You might be able to get this visa if you: are at least 18 but not yet 31 years of age dont have a dependent child with you at any time during your stay in Australia .. Must have a passport from these countries: Argentina Bangladesh Chile Indonesia Malaysia Thailand Turkey USA Uruguay Note: Only USA passport holders can apply online... Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417) For people from Belgium, Canada, Republic of Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan and United Kingdom. Work and Holiday Visa (Subclass 462) Information for applicants from Argentina, Bangladesh, Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, the USA and Uruguay, on holiday and work visas in Australia. Fiji is not in these two lists..Kalisi who is a migration agent in Suva, Fiji, could have been aware of this and she cannot forward any application for her clients ..she has already advise her clients that Fiji is still not yet eligible for any type of working holiday or the SWP program...and she is right ..not just yet in regard to anyone who want to apply for anykind of working holiday because it has not being affected..people must not be misled.. the above are from the Australian immigration sources..it doesnt say anything about Fiji eligibility. .so it just disqualify Fiji from any type of working holiday..But only overseas employers can utilized the 457 visa and they must be in the category of an approved sponsors....this visa has being on going for couple of years and the last Labour government tightened up its eligibility rules which makes it difficult for those employers to bring in anybody as they like to Australia. . ... ...SO RIGHT NOW EVERYONE HAS TO WAIT FOR THE ELECTION OR ANY OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION FROM AUSTRALIA THAT IT HAS AGREE TO SIGN ANY WORK COMMITTMENT WITH FIJI...AND SHOULD APPEAR ON THEIR OFFICIAL GOV.WEBSITE.. Note..dont take this Fiji sun advertisement seriously...
