A MAJOR setback to my cause: the poor victims in Lawaan! Coffee morning this Sunday WONT push thru as other BIGGER PRIVATE organizations are now lined-up to hold their own fundraising coffee mornings (RED CROSS and LIONs CLUB) one of which will also be held in the parish hall this Sunday, the venue that I was trying to secure from father Collins and for that matter, we are now out of place. While I salute them for their declared intentions of helping my countrymen I hope and pray that their proceeds will directly and immediately reach the poor victims who from what I heard first hand from a close contact from the town of Lawaan, have received very little help as of this moment, be it from local or foreign organizations. The best thing I can do now is to hold a coffee morning here in my residence and hope that at least a few nice people from Clonakilty will support.
