A POEM IN MEMORY OF THOSE BRUTALLY MURDERED IN ALUU, RIVER STATE NIGHTFALL IN ALUU –by Sunday James (Igah) Here in Aluu the night has come Here in Aluu the Aluuites dome Stood the most bizarre onlookers Like the barbarians these observers Savagely leading to the alter Their beastly sacrifice to slaughter Here and again in Aluu the night is filthy With unwholesome, uncouth and foul profanity Where in Alluu, Young souls, pride of their mother Strong-armed and led to a most sacrilegious murder Oh! Tis a day turned into impious night With all the nocturnal elements in sight Here and again in Aluu the night has fallen Mothers and fathers pride stolen With stroke of machete on their head And tyres hanging around their neck, hands bound Their nakedness an unrestricted manifestation As the life is drained out of them with incineration Here and again in Aluu the night is grubby With a monstrous people so mucky Repulsive, vile, nauseating and dreadful Aluu Thou must weep and put on sack cloths in Aluu Or even the liquids in your islands May not be ample to launder your manors IN MEMORY OF THE FOUR STUDENTS KILLED IN ALUU RIVER STATE
