A Preview of One of Our Playwrights: Anne MacMillan - Trained in Glasgow at the Academy of Dramatic Arts as an actor -A Theatrical Professional having worked both as actor and director across the US, Canada and UK Writing: Living In New York at the disaster of 9/ll her play City Streets after 9/ll was chosen as part of a competition for Our Town after 9/ll and subsequent performances in New York and LA. A historical play In a Time of War (Glasgow 1941) was in this years New Ideas Festival - first week. For Big Ideas A full length play Dragon Memories will be having its first performance reading - directed by Pamela Redfern on FRIDAY, May 16 at 8pm She would be delighted to see you there and appreciate any and all comments regarding her play, or just relax and be swept away in the telling of strange happenings in the Inner Hebrides. It takes place in New York in a Psychiatrists Office in Manhattan. It is a drama, it is a love poem. And as always there is humor. A tormented young man is haunted by mysterious memories from his journey through Scotland. A New York psychiatrist guides him towards a dramatic discovery, while her niece gets emotionally involved. Another psychiatrist arrives unexpectedly with more on his mind than therapy. Cast: Ian Orr, Reece Presley, Annelise Hawrylak and Susan Q. Wilson.
