A Special Operations Center, Pacific Command, Oahu, Hawaii, Soldier died on 9 June 2013 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash that occurred on 2 June 2013 at approximately 1300 local in Honolulu. The 32-year-old SSG was driving his 2011 motorcycle when a moped, travelling at a high rate of speed in the opposite direction, crossed the center line and struck him. The moped rider was killed on impact while the SSG and his passenger were evacuated to a local medical center. The status of licensing, PPE and required training has not been reported to the USACR/SC.
