A THANK YOU FROM JIM & ANTHONY CARROLL: As I write this past 8 weeks has passed, in a blink. I am now counting weeks by Thursdays! Within moments of the explosion standing on Darling or in Nelson Street the spirit of this amazing community began to show. It came in the form of clothing and shoes but more importantly in the form of compassion, care and emotional support. From friends to strangers the offers of clothing, food, shelter or just to have a cuppa and chat was, on reflection, overwhelming and emotional. There were get togethers at homes each morning for a check in on how everyone was coping. There was the morning walk catch ups. Time stood still on occasions with the only concern being that of others. I can today say, ”that because of the kindness and care Dad and I received it has been the most positive experience in my life”. And for that I thank everyone within the Rozelle and surrounding communities. I have many formal thanks to make and will deliver them overtime. As I write my thoughts are with the families of Chris, Bianka and Baby Jude. It’s impossible to understand the suffering they are experiencing. My thoughts are also with Todd and Corey who on another level are suffering which is equally hard understand. Dad and I are grateful that all we lost was everything. What has been gained through the direct result of the community support will be with us forever. God Bless you all Thank you Jim and Anthony
