**A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR POTTER AND TIOGA(PA) COUNTIES FROM 7AM THROUGH 5PM FRIDAY** High pressure over southern Canada will provide the region with clear skies to start tonight, followed by increasing clouds as a storm system over the Ohio Valley heads northeast. Temperatures overnight will bottom out in the upper teens and lower 20s. Clouds will thicken on Friday and spotty mixed precipitation will develop during the day. Afternoon temperatures are expected to warm into the mid and upper 30s, which will limit the icing potential in the valleys, but higher elevations could end up with a light coating of ice. The mixed showers will taper off as rain showers at night with temperatures holding steady in the mid and upper 30s. A more potent low pressure system will arrive late Friday night into Saturday with a steady rain likely. Temperatures Saturday will remain in the upper 30s, but begin to drop during the afternoon hours. As the rain tapers off towards evening, it could end as a few wet snow showers. High pressure will build back into the region on Sunday with plenty of sunshine expected. Temperatures will remain on the chilly side with highs in the mid 30s. Low pressure off the Mid Atlantic Coast will lift up towards New England early next week with increasing clouds expected on Monday and the chance for a few snow showers on Tuesday. Dry, but cool conditions are expected for the rest of the week.
