A bereavement prayer for a dog called Lulu A week ago, one of my FB friends from Australia, Jmonsty Joy messaged me through FB saying her pet 11 years old, Lulu was passed away because her red blood count was very low and her body was not able to generate new blood. Joy was very sad and immediately booked a flight to come back to Malaysia. Lulu was very important in her life. She said when she was about 9 years old, her mother gifted Lulu to her. Every day after she finished school, she would be alone at home with Lulu keeping her company. Lulu became her best friend and the closer family member at home. Joy said she brought Lulu everywhere, shopping, dinner, taking a walk, and so forth. She did almost everything with Lulu. Lulu kept her company when she felt lonely, unhappy, sad, disappointed or happy, until she left Malaysia and went to study in Australia. She was forced to separate from Lulu because her family immigrated to Australia. Joy lost contact with Lulu after her grandmother gave Lulu up for adoption. But because of her love and she could not forget how kind of Lulu to keep her company when she was alone. So she made a lot of effort to find Lulu. Luckily she met Lulu again. For the past two, three years she would fly back to Malaysia for holiday just because of Lulu. Even after a few years, Lulu still recognized her first owner. This was a real story a young girl shared with me. Joy is only 19 years old, but her love for her dog moved me a lot. She still studies, and she also works as part-time to earn money for her own expenses. She used her savings to buy airplane ticket to pay her last respect to her childhood friend. She even used her own money to arrange a proper cremation and funeral services for Lulu. Even though Lulu has separated from her for 10 years, her love towards Lulu was still so strong. It really moved my heart......
