Then We sent Our Messengers in succession (starting with Noah) , every time there came to a nation their Messenger, they denied him (although they knew them as truthful people in their communities) , so We made them follow one another (to destruction), and We made them examples that people can learn from. . So away with a people who believe not. 45. Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our proofs, verses, signs, revelations and manifest authority (where miracles showed that the creator broke the laws of nature for his messengers to prove their truthfulness), 46. To the Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they behaved insolently and they were people self-exalting and arrogant, 47. They said: Shall we believe in two men like ourselves, and their people are obedient to us with humility (talking about the children of Israel who they enslaved). 48. So they denied them both Moses and Aaron and became of those who were destroyed (drowned in the sea) 49. And indeed We gave Musa (Moses) the Scripture (Torah) , that they may be guided. 50. And We made the son of Mary (speaking about Jesus) and his mother as a sign (by the miraculous birth without a father), And We gave them refuge on high ground, a place of rest, security and flowing streams. 51. O (you) Messengers! Eat of the all kinds of lawful and pleasant foods which God has made legal for you and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 52. And verily! This your religion (of Monotheism) is one religion ( the teachings of all messengers taught the same principles and commandments esp. Monotheism) and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me (worship me alone and nothing from my creation) 53. But they have broken their religion among them into sects, each group content and rejoicing with what they have.
