A busy weekend ahead for Republicans Friday - Panel discussion regarding the case of the Craigavon Two, 7pm St Marys College, Belfast, speakers include Clare Daly TD and legal representatives. This is followed by an Anti-Internment night in the Red Devil Saturday- There is a public talk on Internment past and present. It will take place on Saturday, August 9, from 1pm to 3pm in the éirígí office at 1a Dunlewy Street just off the Falls Road. Speakers include Stephen Murney who was interned in 2012-2014, a female ex-prisoner and one of the hooded men who was interned back in 1971 Sunday - Annual Internment march takes place in Belfast, assemble at Ardoyne Avenue at 12.30pm. Speakers include Brenda Downes, whose husband was murdered by the RUC with a lethal plastic bullet as he attended an Anti Internment Rally. Packy Carty who will speak on behalf of the Justice for the Craigavon Two Campaign and Palestinian representative Dr Hassan Nowarah, who will update people on administrative detention being implemented by the Zionist regime attacking Palestine This promises to be an informative weekend of events and we would urge everyone to attend the above events. Internment is not a myth, it is not consigned to history, its part and parcel of todays ongoing occupation of Ireland
