A city manager is EXACTLY what the city of Gloversville needs. These fools who failed to go to the meeting last night but have everything to say are missing out on some VERY important facts! Yes, you do not get to elect this official but you will still have a Mayor on the Common Council. These City Managers are some of the most well educated people in our area! They are worth every penny and have proven it! They bring awesome health plans into the city, great ideas, attract and secure BIG BUSINESS which is EXACTLY what the city needs. They cut unnecessary services, (saving the city huge amounts of monies), and they KNOW THEIR BUSINESS! This city NEEDS people that know how to make a business work and run at the top of its game! The problems in Gloversville are directly related to the lack of a good amount of jobs, business, and the money those things bring with it! If you had taken the time to be at the meeting last night and listened to the MANY well educated people who spoke, you would have realized that. THIS IS NOT the deletion of public opinion, it is the CREATION of public opportunity! Gloversville is living in the dark ages and missing out on so many great things! These people can and WILL fix what is broken! You do not ask the janitor to run your school, why would you ask someone with a bachelors degree in psychology to run a million dollar city? I think the pros of getting a city manager are beyond anything I have heard in a while. They say nothing has more enemies than progress... and here is the proof!
