A clip of Dad and I harvesting some honey from bee hives a couple - TopicsExpress

A clip of Dad and I harvesting some honey from bee hives a couple of weeks ago. Shows a very nice frame of capped honey produced by our little friends this year. The Queen excluder referred to is a metal screen that allows all of the bees but the Queen (who is larger) to move up into the third super or box of the hive. The bottom two supers is where the queen lays her eggs and the nurse bees feed and raise them. Food (honey, pollen, nectar) are also stored here as well. Using an excluder ensures there is only honey placed in the frames by the worker bees, and the frame in this video is a nice example of a capped frame. Thanks for watching and please sign the petition to Health Canada (below) and tell them to Reject Bayers proposal to introduce a new pesticide. Introducing this new pesticide will be a severe risk to our bee population, which is already facing collapse. action.sumofus.org/a/canada-bees-comments/?sub=fb Peace & Respect Michael MacMaster
