A couple of this years presentations focused on Catchment - TopicsExpress

A couple of this years presentations focused on Catchment Sensitive Farming, a joint project between the Environment Agency and Natural England, funded by Defra and the Rural Development Programme for England. there are some excellent case studies and videos on how they have helped farmers to find practical solutions to tackle diffuse pollution from agriculture and achieving benefits of business efficiency and for the environment. The case study presented at yesterdays conference was a collaboration with Slimbridge Wetland Centre and CSF to demonstrate how constructed wetlands on farms are good for farm businesses, wildlife and the community. youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=mIWxlztI1OY Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) delivers practical solutions and targeted support to enable farmers and land managers to take voluntary action to reduce diffuse water pollution from agriculture to protect water bodies and the environment. find out more here... naturalengland.org.uk/ourwork/farming/csf/default.aspx
