A couple questions come to mind reading this. 1: how long do finger prints last? 2: they could find 1 stray hair in a crime scene 14 years old? HOW. Even if the house was sealed up, and no one could go in or out of it...dust still forms. You found a 1 stray hair after a build up of dust of 14 years....and you can still test if for dna? 3. According to Law & Order (so accuracy and state-rules pending) when you commit a crime as a juvenile, the worse that happens to you is you get locked into a juvenile facility til your either 18 or 21. So if Colorado has similar rules (and since its a completely separate state, they dont have to), the kid could only be locked up for either 3 years (he was 18 when arrested) to 4-7 years (the crime he allegedly did, he was 14. So he should have only been in juvenile for that long). Of course you have completely different problems if you lock up an 18 year old in a prison designed for 14 year old-ish kids. That issue the coloradoians would have had to answer.
