A criminal investigation is underway after more than 40 people become sick after eating Rosca de Reyes bread made at a Santa Ana bakery and distributed to stores in Orange County and Long Beach. Lab tests revealed the bread, which is traditionally consumed in early January on the Día de Reyes, had the presence of a synthetic drug. Those sickened by the bread experiences symptoms of dizziness, palpitations and numbness. Investigators urge anyone who may have consumed the bread to contact them. “Share” this post to alert others.
