A customer came in today with his young daughter to buy Argan Oil. She had long, dense curly hair, and I told her I related, that my hair when its long can be completely unmanageable. She said nothing; her dad piped up that it was his suggestion to get the oil, that he was worried about her unruly hair and how it looked. Then he said that she was a tomboy, and that she didnt care too much about things like frizz-less hair. The girl and I locked eyes and I explained that I had been a tomboy, that Id only started wearing makeup about three years ago, and that she was going to be able to choose: good hair or dont care and that it was totally fine. The way she smiled at me knocked me out, and from the way she looked at her dad I may have staged a coup.
