It has been a really hard week. This morning Dave and I had a very frank discussion about whether we have what it takes to make this foundation successful. Mentally and physically exhausted, I just wanted to curl up in a ball and make the world go away since nothing we do will ever bring my girl back in my arms where she belongs. Then 2 things happened. First, Mackys best twin friend sent me a text with notes from Macky (btw, I had no idea that she ever had crushes ) ;) But more amazing was the fact that I was cleaning out drawers at home when I found a book Macky had made for the Easter Bunny which I have no recollection of ever seeing. Among her drawings was a page that says shine on. I dont know when she wrote this, but we never used that phrase when she was alive. It was something we adopted for the foundation after her death. So is this coincidence, or Macky giving us a nudge, telling us to hang in there? I dont know what to believe, but for the moment Ill take it as a sign.
