A delicious chicken recipe…my lunch today… drizzle with lemon juice!!! Murgh Angaara. Ingredients: 350 gm chicken thigh boneless cut into cubes laung (cloves)1 star anise-1, A pinch of jaiphal n javitri. 1.5 cup yogurt 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder 1 1/2 tbsp- red Kashmiri chilli powder(degi) 1 tsp - coriander powder 1 tsp - cumin pwdr 1/2 tsp garam masala 1 tsp ginger paste 1 tbsp garlic paste pinch red color salt 2 to 3 - big onions (sliced) 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp fennel seeds 1 1/2 inch piece cinamon 1 tbsp lemon juice..s To be dry roasted and pounded into powder. 4 to 5 - pepper corns, 1 - big black cardamom, 4 - green cardamoms, 4 dry red chillies Method 1.Take a glass bow and mix yogurt, chilli powder, tumeric powder, cumin powder, corianderpowder, salt, garlic paste, ginger paste, garam masala and red colour. 2.Add the washed n drained boneless chicken n marinate it for min 1 hour. 3.Take oil in non stick sauce pan and fry the sliced onions. 4.When the onions are nearly browning point (not fully brown),Add the cumin n fennel seeds and the cinamon piece n fry fr a minute. Then add the marinated chicken pieces with the yogurt masala and fry on medium flame till the oil shows on side (till 15 to 20 min). 6.Let it cook in it own juices. 7.Now add 1/2 cup of water 8.Let the chicken cook till done, add roasted powder and dry chillies. check the chicken for salt. 9.Stir on high flame till thick gravy is formed (not much gravy required)the gravy should have coated the chicken evenly, turn off the flame. 10.Garnish with green coriander and lemon. 11.Enjoy it with roti, naan or parathas
