A distant cousin, John Krussel, shared this interesting trailer. John and I are 9th cousins related through my great-grandmother Helena Germann Metz - John comes from the line running out from Helenas grandmother Solemea Kieffer Görmann who emigrated to Cincinnati around 1840, ultimately settling in Delhi where she had a vineyard. Our mutual ancestors are Nicholas Höpf and Magdalena Fey who married in 1643. The film is about families who settled in St. Genevieve County, Missouri and retained their German dialect up until Johns generation (and I think John & I are about the same age); so well into the 20th century.
