A family saga, a fictional historical love story set in New Orleans and Vacherie, Louisiana. The Civil War ruins plantation life and the agricultural economy of the South. Jacques dreams of living the quiet plantation life, but Celina, the Creole beauty he fell in love with, loves New Orleans.
