The stranded fellow shouted back, No, its OK, Im praying to God and he is going to save me. So the rowboat went on. Then a motorboat came by. The fellow in the motorboat shouted, Jump in, I can save you. To this the stranded man said, No thanks, Im praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith. So the motorboat went on. Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety. To this the stranded man again replied, No thanks, Im praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith. So the helicopter reluctantly flew away. Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, I had faith in you but you didnt save me, you let me drown. I dont understand why! To this God replied, I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect? allen west is not going to save you. sarah palin is not going to save you. ron paul is not going to save you. no matter how many books any of our leaders write and you read or speeches they write and you hear...none of that is going to save you. god said faith without work is dead. what he has done is give us the free will to help ourselves or not and has exposed all the things that are evil and wrong, and given us the tools to fix them...to help save ourselves, to help save our nation and to help save our world. the only thing thats going to save you is you and me. weve got each other and thats it. the quicker you guys start realizing this and setting superficial things in your life aside and start working on things that matter, the quicker we all get to where we need to be. stop waiting for others to save you and when someone does come along, take the help...because it may not be who youve been waiting on to help you but go anyway if its god that sent it.
