A few months ago I saw a pastor whom I know, endorsing Joyce Meyer. And as I always do I gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he was unaware that she is a proven false prophetess, biblically wrong to be a pastor, and a proven heretic by saying that on the cross Jesus died spiritually and went to hell for three days to be tortured by Satan, where Satan got the victory. Shes a silly ridiculous lady who knows nothing theologically. And I wanted to give this man the benefit of the doubt so I wrote him a very respectful letter with some sources for him to look at. This guy wrote me back very rudely twisting all kinds of scripture out of context to support his erroneous ideas of not judging other ministries. So I wrote this guy back and said, look your in youth ministry you have hundreds of little kids, especially young girls who are listening to you and they are going to start listening to Joyce Meyer if you publicly endorse her ministry. And so this guy wrote me back that I had a critical spirit and instead of spending my time focusing on the things that are wrong I should focus on the things I have in common with other believers and not focus on the differences. Another pastor, when speaking with him recently, told me identifying error was only a very small part of our faith and I should focus on the things in common. And yet another pastor told me the world will only know we are of God if we are loving each other regardless of differences of thought and we cannot dispute or we will lose our witness. Spiritual Seduction will always emphasize the things in common. The Word of God emphasizes the things that are different. One of the reasons the Torah had so much detail; this alter had to be gold, this curtain had to be blue, etc. Theres of course different reasons, typology is one. But one reason is the pagans had the same things many times. Every Hebrew holiday had a pagan equivalent. The Cannanites were thanking Baal for the spring and autumn rains, they had their high places, temples and priests. Thats why you keep seeing in the Torah over and over God saying, be careful to do All that I have commanded you. It all comes down to one thing, is your name written in heaven, or is it written on the earth. The Gospel is trading this life and this fallen world for heaven to come. Just as the Holy Spirit is preparing the faithful bride for heaven, the spirit of antichrist is preparing the world and the worldly church for the antichrist. The way that Satan gets people into hell is by using the things of the world, except the way he does it in the church is by disguising the world as Christianity. When you understand this you realize people like these are satanically motivated. Im not talking about possession. But in their ignorance they think what they are doing is right. Just like Peter when correcting Jesus. Theyre speaking the ideas of Satan. And their in our pulpits! Its quite a thing. Once again, spiritual seduction emphasizes the things in common. The Word of God emphasizes the things that are different.
