A few of the many photos I took of the youngsters yesterday. Apparently, Mom and Dad had left them to their own devices for the day. There was lots of flying around, calling (whee whee whee), lots of song bird alarms, and some exploring, including checking out whats inside that picture window on the building next door. For a while there were two of the kids on that ledge. One seemed to be practicing pouncing- I say practicing because I could see nothing to pounce on, unless tree litter is now prey. There was something on the roof of the building next door too. That may have been food, since they kept dropping down onto the roof. As the afternoon waned, the parents returned (cuk cuk cuk cuk rapidly) and the kids all flew one at a time from the tree they were in over to one of the oaks where there was quite a stir. I presume Mom and Dad had brought home take out.
