A few weeks ago I spoke with the folks at Remote Area Medical about coming to the North Texas Area. The idea was Dallas one weekend and Ft. Worth the next. RAM was founded by Stan Brock who used to be a host on Mutual of Omahas Wild Kingdom. A couple of weekends ago they were in Oklahoma City. When we pull this off, in the course of the 2 weekends they will see probably a couple thousand people with Volunteers of Doctors. I said we want you to come, pencil us in for 2015. I really dont know who we would be other than me at the time, but I would certainly welcome anybody that would like to help. Below is a 60 minutes piece that talks about what they do. Their website is RAMUSA.org. If that inner voice has ever said I want to do something to make a difference in others lives, this might be it. Once we get this going, it would be a nice annual thing to help others in North Texas. Please let me know if you would like to be involved.
