A few words about God... The word God has far too many unclear connotations, that we can simply use it innocently as if to refer to something specific. The word is so surrounded with all kind of confusion, that to use it in a helpful way, is very difficult. Also we see so much evil being doing in the name of God, that it makes people very sceptical. Scientist have not found God. People like Richard Dawkins in The God dillusion try to convince people to be against religion, when it teaches us to be content with not knowing. I would suggest, that in order to have a sentient discussion, the concepts of objectivity and subjectivity are more appropriate. Simplified, I would suggest to think as objective of that what we think of as being outside our mind and the subjective being that which is more inside our mind. Mind is where we perceive and conceive the world. Mind is also, where we know and from where we consciously do. When you close your eyes, retreat a bit from the outside world, that what is in your mind, becomes more clear. When you would withdraw a bit from the sensations that come from your body, this mental flow, will be even more clear. If you were to withdraw from the mental flow, only pure I-feeling remains. This would be a very subjective stance. So there is a relation of the innermost subjectivity in us and the more outward objectivity. If there were to have to be something as a cosmic consciousness, that is, if the whole of creation would be like the dream of a cosmic mind, we too would be dreams. What we perceive as the physical world, would be the dreams of a cosmic being. And we would be made out of that same stuff. So our dreams, our thoughts, would be dreams within a dream. Not many people will like to think of the outside world, the whole universe as being just a dream, because to us, it is all too real. Even our thoughts are very real to us. But imagine, what if you were the cosmic being. Everything in your mind is just that, mind stuff. And yet, in your mind you create a planet and on that planet you create beings, that also have a mind like you. Then what is objective and what is subjective? For you, everything is one, but for the single beings, the units of selfawareness, the small Is, there is infinite diversity. For you it is just one thought, in your one mind. You can span the whole of creation, as it is all in you. Now what would happen, when one of the units would expand her mind to become as big as yours? ...
