A few words regarding this Zombie phenom in pop culture media. It is my belief that the term Zombie is being used metaphorically in reference to multitudes who rely on the government for their daily subsistence. We are slowly being indoctrinated and desensitized to the term by means of TV shows such as The Walking Dead, Z-Nation and numerous motion pictures in the genre of World War Z. I truly believe that this analogy should be taken extremely seriously. Imagine if you will, a world in which 40% of the population relies on the government for their housing, transportation, communication, recreation, MEDICATION and FOOD. Then say, due to the collapse of that governments currency, or perhaps a failure of its infra-structure (power grid) the government was no longer able to provide these services. Both of the aforementioned scenarios are not at all beyond the realm of possibility/reality in the current age, and could happen virtually overnight. Now we have a situation where TENS OF MILLIONS of starving people who are off of their meds will literally come boiling out of the cities once those metropolitan areas have been ravished. (picture an ant mound having just been hit by a lawn mower). It is at this point that I truly feel sorrow for my fellow citizens residing in the Burbs all feeling so safely nestled in their cul-de-sacs. These poor blind cubicle sheep with their carefully manicured lawns and shiny SUVs have NO IDEA of the atrocities that await them only a few miles away. The very same highway that allows them to live in their insulated splendor will be the path that leads to their demise. It is my opinion that only in their last moments will they see the folly of their ways having wasted all of that money on lawns and worthless vehicles rather than arms and ammunition. I know that this is getting rather morbid, but alas, there is hope. Once the rats have decimated their cities and pillaged the burbs, these streetwise cretins will then encounter us dumb country folk. The vermins streetwise ways will be of no use out here in the woods. We who know how to read a compass, grow food, communicate without an Obama phone, fish, provide 1st aid, hunt game and DEFEND our communities will prevail at this point. In closing, the Zombie threat is VERY real, it will get VERY ugly. Frankly I get laughed at for preparing. The way I see it, you can get prepared for one of two things. Prepare to LIVE, or prepare to die. (But hell, Im just an Assistant Mens Room Attendant what the hell do I know?)
