A few years back, I unearthed Lewis toolbox, drill and various devices and begat fixing everything I neglected along the way in the life I led then. Lewis spent all week in DC, and I was incapable of tasking him all weekend with a Honey-Do list. I missed him. We needed to have adventures as a couple, a family. The first time I pulled out his power drill, I cried for an hour and felt sorry for myself. But I plugged away. My efforts then were less than stellar. I am reminded of this when I use my extension mirror and push it back into the wall on its loose anchors. Tonight I needed to replace the track for Jacks closet doors after so many years of wear of tear. It was a blast! I made Jack acknowledge all the wood shavings scattered all over his bedroom floor that proved my toil. Mom, you could have just had Vince do it. No Jack. Your Mom can do it all by herself. Never you mind the extra trip Home Depot to replace the first track I totally screwed up. I learn the hard way. But holy cow do I ever learn. And you will too. I promise.
