Well. I got my first car in 17 years. The Maxima was getting almost 37mpg at the end, and it was hard saying goodbye to it - it treated me far better than I treated it. The new one is a 2014 VW Jetta Wagon TDI (Diesel). If you look at the closeup of the dashboard, I was just short of 60mpg when I stopped to show Mark, and lost a little bit between there and home. Its got the rearview backup camera, and heated seats (Mark says Im not going to like those ...I think he was being facetious. LOL!!), a 6-CD changer, an iPod connecter, and a BlueTooth - everything is controllable from the steering wheel. The screen does a whole bunch of stuff, and is a touch screen. All of this was the base model - all standard. I got the 12 year corrosion guard and the 4 year extension on the bumper-to-bumper. And to top it all off, VW has got a program going, and I got a 2.9 interest rate on the loan, which was less than 30,000$. WOOHOO!!!
